<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing device, method and program, and a storage medium, which correct black saturation on an image display device by a simple method dispensing with a special sensor such as an illumination meter. <P>SOLUTION: An image display device 100 comprises: an image input part 101 for inputting an image signal; an image correction part 102 for correcting the image signal input by the image input part 101 according to characteristics of an image display part 103; the image display part 103 for displaying the image signal on a display device; and an image correction characteristic setting part 104 for setting correction characteristics in the image correction part 102 according to "black saturation" on the image display part 103. When a user recognizes a borderline in an image pattern, the image correction characteristic setting part 104 calculates a black saturation level and determines a tone correction factor α according to the calculated black saturation level. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
