PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem wherein, in a conventional vehicular headlamp, it is difficult to properly control a changeover time of a plurality of light distribution patterns. SOLUTION: This vehicular headlamp is provided with: a shade changeover device 7 comprising a stepping motor 34 for changing over the attitudes of a first shade 5 and a second shade 6 to a plurality of attitudes capable of providing a plurality of light distribution patterns; and a control device 100 for which the changeover of the plurality of light distribution patterns has at least first changeover and second changeover, and which controls the changeover time of the first changeover to be set later than the change over time of the second changeover. As a result, the changeover time of the first change over can be controlled to be later than the changeover time of the second changeover, and the changeover times of the plurality of the light distribution pattern can be properly controlled.
