PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color reproducing apparatus for reproducing a metallic color while keeping a sense of luster without using a particular color. SOLUTION: In simulating the metallic color, a color distribution database 25 is referred to, and a color of each pixel in a region of the metallic color is extracted from the color distribution at random. The color extracted for each pixel is set to the color of the pixel.
