PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio signal separating method by which a radio communication apparatus for performing radio communication in a MIMO system can be made small-sized and lightweight and processing delay or power consumption can be reduced. SOLUTION: For T elements in a transmission signal vector (s) of a signal transmitted by a radio transmission apparatus, the order of signal detection for each element is determined, an extension propagation path matrix H' calculated based on a propagation path matrix H, a coefficientαand a unit matrix I is rearranged according to an order list S to calculate a matrix H", and the matrix H" is QR decomposed to calculate a unitary matrix Q and a triangular matrix R. Complex conjugate transposition of R rows of the matrix Q is then used to filter a reception vector (x), T transmission signals are sequentially detected using the triangular matrix R, and the detected T transmission signals are rearranged in an original transmission space order according to the order list and outputted.
