PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ISDN adaptor capable of effectively utilizing a channel usable for a speech via an ISDN and a speech via an IP network. SOLUTION: The ISDN adaptor is connected to an ISDN line in series between a line terminator and an ISDN, and further connected also to an IP network, can connect each of at least two telephone sets connected to the ISDN line via the line terminator to either of the ISDN and the IP network, and when an optional telephone set uses any channel to be connected up to the ISDN adaptor and a speech path from the ISDN adaptor connected to the IP network is formed, and when another channel not in use at present exists in the path from the ISDN adaptor to the line terminator, in the case that an incoming request designating the channel used by the optional telephone set for the IP network from the ISDN side, the ISDN adaptor converts the request into an incoming request designating the channel not in use at present and transmits the request to the line terminator.
