PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an optical member with a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer excellent in anchoring power to the optical member and excellent also in adhesive durability in a high temperature and high humidity environment. SOLUTION: In the method for producing the optical member 1 with the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer, a photosetting pressure-sensitive adhesive composition layer comprising a photosetting pressure-sensitive adhesive composition 2 which contains (b) 0.01-5 pts.wt. of a polyfunctional vinyl monomer and (c) 0.01-1 pt.wt. of a hydrogen abstraction type radical polymerization photoinitiator, based on (a) 100 pts.wt. of a monomer consisting mainly of 70-99 pts.wt. of an alkyl (meth)acrylate having a 1-14C alkyl group and 1-30 pts.wt. of a vinyl monomer having a polar group, is formed on at least one surface of an optical member, and a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer is formed for the optical member 1 by irradiation with light.
