PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To specify a material and a production batch for a reinforcing steel in a concrete telegraph pole. SOLUTION: In the concrete telegraph pole, one kind of reinforcing steel is installed between both ends of the pole so as to be given tension, and another kind of reinforcing steel is installed between one end and the middle part thereof so as not to be given tension. This fact is used, and a magnetic field is produced around the telegraph pole, and its response is detected. The internal reinforcing steel is identified, based on a change in periods of the magnetic response in the circumferential direction of the pole, which is caused by a difference between magnetic properties of the two kinds of reinforcing steel. As a result, the difference, which is small between production batches of internal reinforcing steels, can also be identified for the concrete telegraph pole. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
