PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an earthquake resistant characteristics measuring device of an electronic device case and a method therefor, capable of changing an additional mass and performing easily control at a low frequency. SOLUTION: This device is equipped with the electronic device case 1 installed on the upper surface of a vibration part 12 formed from cured rubber or a sheet, an excitation part 11 equipped with a hollow container 14 for enclosing a liquid mounted on the lower part of the electronic device case 1 and a motor 4 for making the hollow container 14 undergo reciprocative motion, a liquid supplier 9 for controlling the liquid quantity to be enclosed in the hollow container 14, a controller 10 for controlling the liquid supplier 9 and the motor 4, and an acceleration sensor 2 for detecting the vibration of the vibration part 12 and vibration of the electronic device case 1 and carrying out feedback thereof to the controller 10.
