PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the reliability of quality decision with respect to the ultrasonic inspection of a spot welded part using a robot. SOLUTION: The posture and position of an ultrasonic sensor 11 with respect to a workpiece W are changed by the robot 12, an ultrasonic wave is transmitted to the workpiece W in a plurality of postures at a plurality positions with respect to one spot welded part SP, the posture and position becoming maximum in the intensity of a reflected wave among a plurality of the postures and positions are detected and the quality of the spot welded part SP is decided using the measuring data of the ultrasonic sensor 11 in the detected posture at the detected position.
