PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detection device having a simple structure, capable of detecting various defects of a transparent body. SOLUTION: Light is allowed to enter the transparent body from the oblique direction, and the light is allowed to pass the inside of the transparent body by total reflection, and nonuniform light, scattered by a defect and emitted to the outside of the transparent body, is detected.
