PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an industrially desirable method for simply producing aβ-diketone compound having a silyl ether group. SOLUTION: The problem can be solved by a method for producing aβ-diketone compound having a silyl ether group, which comprises reacting a carboxylic ester in the presence of an alkali metal alkoxide and subsequently reacting the resultant product with a trialkylsilyl halide.
