PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine which can reduce control load on a main controller to control game operation. SOLUTION: A peripheral device controller 1700 which receives a controlling command from the main controller 200 to send it to a peripheral device is mounted between the main controller 200 to control game operation and a peripheral device 100 which acts according to the controlling command sent from the main controller 200. The main controller 200 sends a controlling command to designate initialization of the peripheral device 100 to the peripheral device controller 1700 as a controlling process at the time of the power-on operation. The peripheral device controller 1700 sends the controlling command to designate initialization of the peripheral device to the peripheral device 100, when it receives such command, and it allows the main controller 200 to control game operation to reduce the control load.
