An image processing system restores a resolution of a pixel-mixed image expressed by a mixed-pixel signal acquired by reading a mixture of signals of a plurality of pixels in an imaging element. The image processing system includes imaging state acquisition means, restoration matrix generation means (114), and restoration processing means (113). The imaging state acquisition means acquires an imaging state when the mixed-pixel signal is acquired. The restoration matrix generation means (114) generates a pixel-mixed restoration matrix based on the imaging state acquired by the imaging state acquisition means. The restoration processing means (113) restores the resolution of the pixel-mixed image by using the mixed-pixel signal and the pixel-mixed restoration matrix. |
