Electrodes originally developed for biofeedback purposes are integrated into the structure of a telephone (which may be standard, incorporated in another device, or cellular) or into the structure of a computer (which may be PC, laptop or palm pilot), or into a computer mouse; or in external device connecting to them, or into the structure of various consumer products (like a remote-control unit of an air-conditioner, a refrigerator, etc.), clothes (a shirt, a diaper, a blanket, etc.), or other products (a carpet, a chair, etc.). These electrodes constantly receive physiological signals from the fingers of the user. Inside any of the apparatuses thus equipped, the signals are processed in real time, and the output allows for a better suitability of the apparatus to the requirements of the user. |
