NON-HEATING DETECTION METHOD FOR DERMATOPHYTE

Disclosed is a dermatophyte detection method which does not require complicated procedures such as enzymatic treatment or heat treatment. The method comprises the step of extracting a dermatophyte-derived component from a sample using a treatment solution containing a nonionic or amphoteric surfactant. Also disclosed is a dermatophyte infection diagnosis kit which comprises: a treatment solution containing the surfactant; and an antibody capable of specifically recognizing a dermatophyte-derived component, both contained in separate containers.
