An electronic watch with a timer display function is provided. The time of day is displayed on a display plate of the watch and a stopwatch (timer) function is automatically activated when a preset time is reached. Respective timers for things to be done on the day are automatically activated as time passes. The watch includes a stopwatch that displays a stopwatch function on the display plate using both a number-based timer which changes numbers as time passes and a block-based timer which changes the block area. This ensures that examinees, students, and athletes can do efficient time management. A simple version of the watch is an examinee watch. An advanced version is an area-based stopwatch, which is classified into an A-type using a combination of 10-minute and 1-minute block timer display portions and a B-type using a combination of 5-minute and 1-minute block timer display portions
