A mobile terminal is provided to reduce an impact when the second body is slidably opened by including a buffer member at the first or the second protrusion member, to prevent generation of noise, and to allow smooth slidable opening and closing. The second body(20) is connected to be slidably moved with the first body(10). A movement limiting unit(40) is installed on at least one of the first and the second bodies(10,20), and when the second body(20) is slidably moved and opened, the movement limiting unit(40) minimizes a gap between the first and the second bodies(10,20) to prevent the second body from being shaken. The first protrusion member(41) is protrusively formed on the first body(10). The second body(42) is formed opposite to the first protrusion member(41) in a facing manner when the second body(20) is at an opened position.
