A light guide unit for backlight is provided to suppress concentration of brightness at an upper part adjacent to a lamp insertion groove by reflecting totally the light emitted from the lamp insertion groove by using a prism groove. A light guide unit for backlight includes a light source(20), a plurality of guide lenses(30), and a plurality of reflective lenses(40). The light source is formed to generate light. The guide lenses are coupled with the light source in order to receive the light, to change an angle of the received light, and to output the light at the changed angle. A predetermined interval is maintained between the guide lenses. The reflective lenses are positioned between the guide lenses in order to receive and reflect the light outputted from lateral surfaces of the guide lenses. Each of the guide lenses is formed with outer multilateral surfaces for outputting the light. |
