A folder type mobile terminal having a swing hinge is provided to reduce the size of a mobile terminal by employing a touch screen type display without the necessity of a keypad. A main body part(110) has the first longer side and the first shorter side having a length shorter than the first longer side. A hinge part(130) is formed at an outer central portion of the first longer side. A display unit(120) has the second shorter side and the second longer side having a length longer than the second shorter side and formed to be symmetrical to the first longer side, and combined at the hinge part(130). The display unit(120) opens and closes a front surface of the main body part(110) based on the hinge part(130), and is rotated centering around the hinge part(130).
