Apparatus for cooking foods comprising a housing and a pan for receiving foods to be cooked, the housing having an inlet for the introduction of gaseous fuel and an outlet for fuel combustion products, the housing and pan each having walls spaced from each other so as to allow gas to flow therebetween, with a baffle being provided between the housing and pan to cause heated gas to flow around the pan, towards the outlet. In a preferred embodiment, combustion is assisted by a source of negative pressure in the form of an extractor fan operatively connected to a flue outlet. |
