<p>A source driver of a liquid crystal display device comprises: a display signal generation unit for generating drive signals to drive data lines based on data signals; a vertical back porch setting switch terminal connected to the display signal generation unit; a ground terminal set at a ground potential; and a power supply terminal set at a predetermined potential. The vertical back porch setting switch terminal is connected to either one of the ground terminal and the power supply terminal. The display signal generation unit can switch between two preset vertical back porch set values, depending on which of the ground terminal and the power supply terminal is connected to the vertical back porch setting switch terminal. This makes it possible to use the source driver in common in two kinds of liquid crystal panels with two different numbers of horizontal synchronous signals, i.e. two different numbers of scan lines.</p> |
