A marchand balun is provided to obtain the same 3dB coupling coefficient for all couplers by vertically and electrically coupling a feeding line with a signal processing portion. A marchand balun includes a feeding line(111), a dielectric substrate(200), a ground substrate(100), slot lines(110,120), signal units(112,113), and first and second microstrip lines(210,220). The dielectric substrate is laminated under the feeding line. The ground substrate is laminated under the dielectric substrate. The slot lines are formed on the ground substrate. One end of the slot line is opened. The signal units are formed in an inner region which is enclosed by the slot lines. The signal unit is electromagnetically coupled with the feeding line under the dielectric substrate. A vertical coupling line contains the signal unit and the first and second microstrip lines. |
