Gear drive unit (10) comprises an undercut formed in the region of a front side (40, 41) of a bearing bolt (18). An independent claim is also included for a method for the production of a gear drive unit. Preferred Features: The undercut is formed by a bur on the front surface. The radial extension of the bur does not protrude over the nominal diameter of the bearing bolt.
