LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY AND PRISM SHEET FOR THE SAME

A liquid crystal display and a prism sheet used in the same are provided to widen a light output angle and to increase light efficiency by using the prism sheet having an acute angle prism pattern. A liquid crystal display includes a display unit(130), a backlight unit(150) and an optical film unit(140). The display unit displays images. The backlight unit supplies light to the display unit. The optical film unit is positioned between the display unit and the backlight and includes a diffusion film and a prism film. The prism sheet includes a first prism and a second prism. The first prism has a first value as an angle formed by two opposite slopes. The second prism has a second value as an angle formed by two opposite slopes. The second value is smaller than the first value. The first value is equal to or more than 90 degrees. The second value is less than 90 degrees.
