A system and a method are provided to execute a bi-directional character transfer between portable communication devices to share information and functions thereof. After one of first and second devices is recognized in the other device, a character stored in the first device is transferred to the second device. Then the transferred character is driven in the second device. First information stored in the first device may be transferred with the character. The first information is then extracted from the character in the second device. The character may be transferred from the second device to the first device. Second information produced by operation of the character in the second device may be transferred with the character to the first device, and extracted from the character in the first device. |
