METHOD FOR RESOURCE ALLOCATION IN HARQ

A resource allocation method for an HARQ scheme is provided to improve a resource allocation efficiency by allocating remaining resource blocks to other mobile stations. An HARQ(Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request) system couples an initial packet with a retransmitted packet and decodes the coupled result. A packet is transmitted by using n resource blocks. A first NACK(Negative ACKnowledgement) signal for the packet is received. The packet is retransmitted by using m resource blocks according to the first NACK signal. A m is smaller than n. A second NACK signal for the retransmitted packet is received. The packet is retransmitted by using l resource blocks. A l is smaller than m.
