A back light driving apparatus is provided to accumulate a direct current voltage by using first and second capacitors connected serially to each other. An LED driving control unit(161) controls driving states of a plurality of LED strings according to a burst dimming signal for LED. A switching unit(163) is turned off according to an LED driving control signal of a low level from the LED driving control unit so as to store partially an LED driving voltage in an accumulator(164). The switching unit is turned on according to an LED driving control signal of a high level from the LED driving control unit in order to supply the voltage of the accumulator to the LED strings. The accumulator is formed to accumulate a part of the voltage of the LED driving voltage according to a switching operation of the switching unit and to suppress an influence of an output side voltage applied to the LED strings toward an input side voltage applied to the switching unit. A filtering unit(166) removes high frequency components from the voltage applied to the LED strings. |
