摘要 A method for producing a secondary battery is provided to improve high-rate discharge characteristics by reducing the distance of electron movement from a cathode or an anode upon discharge. A method for producing a secondary battery comprises the steps of: (a) providing a cathode(20), an anode(30) and two separators, wherein the cathode comprises an Al plate(22) and a cathode material layer(24) coated on the surface of the Al plate in such a manner that a bare Al region(21) is formed on the cathode, the anode comprises a Cu plate(32) and an anode material layer coated on the Cu plate in such a manner that a bare Cu region(31) is formed on the anode, and the separator has a width not less than the width of the anode material layer and not greater than the aluminum or copper plate; (b) stacking the cathode, one separator, the anode and the other separator, successively and winding them to form a wound assembly(50), wherein the cathode material layer overlaps with the anode material layer with a separator interposed therebetween, and the bare Al region of the cathode and the bare Cu region of the anode each are disposed on the top and bottom of the wound assembly; (c) welding one electrode(26) to the bare Al region of the cathode and welding another electrode(36) to the bare Cu region in such a manner that the layers forming the wound assembly are electrically connected with each other; and (d) introducing the wound assembly into a casing, followed by sealing, injecting an electrolyte into the casing, and allowing each electrode of the cathode and the anode to extend toward the exterior of the casing.
