The method for determining an operating pressure of an operating device (1) involves the operating pressure being determined by a travel difference (9) which results from a nominal actuating travel and an actuating travel of the operating device which is actually effected by the operating pressure. The travel difference arises through a deformation of the actuating means which is brought about in dependence upon the operating pressure. An independent claim is included for a device for determining an operating pressure of an operating device by application of the proposed method.
