SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR REMOVING DIESEL PM USING OF NITROGEN DIOXIDE

A method for removing particulate matters using nitrogen dioxide and a system thereof are provided to purify air by collecting the nitrogen dioxide in the air to supply the collected nitrogen dioxide to an exhaust pipe. A system for removing particulate matters using nitrogen dioxide includes a first oxide catalyst converter(1) and a second oxide catalyst converter(3). The first oxide catalyst converter is installed at a front side of a DPF(Diesel Particulate Filter) generator(2). The first oxide catalyst converter converts nitrogen oxide of exhaust gas into nitrogen dioxide. The second oxide catalyst converter is installed at a rear side of the DPF generator and processes exhausted nitrogen dioxide. An injector(5) supplies a reducing agent between the DPF generator and the second oxide catalyst converter. A nitrogen dioxide collector(6) collects nitrogen dioxide in air between the first oxide catalyst converter and the DPF generator.
