THE CONTROL METHOD OF AIR CONDITIONER FOR HYBRID ENGINE VEHICLE

A method of controlling an air conditioner of a hybrid engine vehicle is provided to solve problems of fog or noise generation and to prevent the lowering of cooling capacity by selecting an inside air mode or an outside air mode automatically according to cooling/heating load at an idle stop of the hybrid engine vehicle. A method of controlling an air conditioner of a hybrid engine vehicle including an air conditioning case having an evaporator and a heater core inside and a defrost vent, a face vent and a floor vent at the outlet side comprises the steps of: executing an idle stop which stops an engine and operates a compressor by an electric motor(S101); checking whether cooling or heating load is above a reference value or not(S102); checking a discharge mode of the air conditioner if the cooling or heating load is above the reference value(S103), and controlling the air conditioner into an outside air mode if the cooling or heating load is below the reference value(S108); controlling the air conditioner into the outside air mode if the discharge mode of the air conditioner is an FLR(floor) mode, MIX mode or DEF(defrost) mode(S108), and checking whether the idle stop is released or not if not(S104); and executing an intake control of the air conditioner according to the intake mode selected by a passenger if the idle stop is released, and controlling the air conditioner into inside air mode if not(S107).
