A shock absorber is provided to operate the shock absorber normally when a piston rod is curved, by directing a curvature of a bushing to the piston rod for reducing contact surface between the bushing and the piston rod. A shock absorber(100) comprises a cylinder(110), a piston rod(120), a rod guide(121), and a bushing(127). One end of the piston rod is inserted to the cylinder and the other end of the piston rod is drawn out to an external part of the cylinder. A through hole(123) wherein the piston rod is passed through, is formed at the rod guide. The rod guide is installed at the cylinder and guiding the piston rod. The bushing is installed between the piston rod and the rod guide. The bushing is shaped as a cylinder wherein uneven units are consecutively formed at an upper part and a lower part. One end of a central section is recessed and the other end is projected. The other end of the busing is faced to the one end. The other end crossing to the one end is recessed.
