A cutting ring-tone service method using MP3 music content is provided to allow the user to edit and produce desired MP3 music content in a real-time easily through a CDMA(Code Division Multiple Access) that is capable of performing fast packet transfer without causing the loads of CPU in user mobile phone. A cutting ring-tone service method using MP3 music content comprises the steps of: reproducing an MP3 music file selected by the user on a mobile phone mounted with application based on java WIPI including a communication socket for the communication with a server(S1); uploading the MP3 music file on the server or transferring a value of a predetermined section defined by the user to the server(S2,3,4,5); cutting the MP3 music file with a cutting engine on the server which is capable of cutting the section of the MP3 music file by mili-second using a java based MP3 streaming API, based on the value of the predetermined section of the MP3 music file(S6); and saving the cut file on the server temporarily and sending the file to a ring-tone directory of the user mobile phone(S7).
