A workpiece deformation preventing apparatus for progressive dies is provided to process the workpiece while removing residual stress in a workpiece used in the progressive dies. A workpiece deformation preventing apparatus for progressive dies comprises a die holder(10) having a die retainer(14), a punch holder(30) which is installed above the die holder, is lifted or lowered relative to the die holder, and has a punch retainer(34), dies(16) which is exposed to the surface of the die retainer to support workpieces(20) during processing, and a punch(40) projected from the punch retainer correspondingly to the dies to hit the workpieces placed on the dies, wherein a plurality of embossing forming protrusions are formed on at least one of corresponding surfaces of the dies and the punch.
