AMR METHOD AND SYSTEM TRANSMITTING METERING DATA AS BAR-CODE IMAGE

An automatic remote meter reading method and a system for transmitting metering information as a bar-code image are provided to improve the reliability of metering by informing a subscriber of a metering result through an e-mail or a short message service. An automatic remote meter reading method for transmitting metering information as a bar-code image has a meter which reads a use quantity of electric power, gas, and water, and an interface device which converts metering data into the bar-code image. The automatic meter reading method includes the steps of: reading a measured value of a meter(S210); generating metering data of which a sort is designated by the interface device coupled to the meter into the bar-code image(S220); connecting a home page of a center manager through a PC(S241); registering the bar-code image on the home page of the center manager(S242); and transmitting a confirm e-mail to an e-mail address of a user(S243).
