A system and a method for controlling ESAs(Electric/electronic Sub Assemblies) using a portable Bluetooth device are provided to offer convenience to drivers by controlling the ESAs of a car through a portable device having a Bluetooth function. A system for controlling ESAs comprises a plurality of ESAs(250-1-250-n), a portable Bluetooth device(100), and a main ESA(200). The ESAs(250-1-250-n) work according to inputted control commands. The portable Bluetooth device(100) has a Bluetooth module. If a user inputs a control command for an ESA to be controlled in ESA control mode, the portable Bluetooth device(100) creates an ESA control message containing the identifier of the ESA and the control command and transmits the created message through the Bluetooth module. The main ESA(200), such as an audio system, receives the ESA control message, detects the ESA identifier and the control command from the received ESA control message, and outputs the control command to the ESA.
