A dryer is provided to prevent damage of laundry to be dried, and to prevent fire by installing a filter unit between a drum and a heater case so as to prevent foreign material from being infiltrated into the heater case. A dryer comprises a drum, a heater case(40), a filter unit(100), and a fixing unit. The laundry is dried in the drum. The heater case is connected with a backside of the drum. The heater case has an air inlet unit and a vent unit, wherein a heater heating up air is formed. The filter unit is formed at a connection part between the drum and the heater case to prevent foreign material from being infiltrated into the heater case. The fixing unit fixes the filter unit to the heater case. The fixing unit is composed of a first bending unit, a second bending unit, a first connection unit, and a second connection unit. The first and the second bending units are projected from an upper and a lower part of a frame unit respectively. The first and the second connection units are formed at an upper and a lower part of the vent unit of the heater case respectively, wherein the first and the second bending units are connected.
