ELECTRONIC IMAGING DEVICE, 2D/3D IMAGE DISPLAY DEVICE AND THE DRIVING METHOD THEREOF

An electronic imaging device, a 2D/3D image display device, and a method for driving the same are provided to reduce the deterioration of image quality by synchronizing the driving mode of an optical device with the displayed image. A 2D/3D image display device displays 2D or 3D image data on a display unit according to an input image signal. The display unit includes a display panel and an optical device layer. The optical device layer has a first driving mode and a second driving mode corresponding to the 2D and 3D image data. If the input image signal is changed into the 3D image signal in the 2D image signal, the optical device layer is changed into the first driving mode by the 3D image signal before displaying on the display panel. If the input image signal is changed into the 2D image signal in the 3D image signal, a control unit(100) displays the 3D image signal on the display panel and is changed into the second driving mode after a second period.
