A composition comprising a herbal mixture extract is provided to inhibit 5alpha-reductase and prostatic hyperplasia excellently and have excellent anti-oxidative capability and immunity enhancing capability, thereby being usefully used as a pharmaceutical composition and a health functional food for preventing and treating the prostatic hyperplasia. A pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating benign prostatic hyperplasia comprises an extract of a herb mixture consisting of green tea, soybean and coconut in a weight ratio of 1-2:1-2:1-5.
