An apparatus for installing a shelf for furniture is provided to install a support frame for the shelf on a vertical frame quickly and easily so that it can fix the shelf without any movements and to achieve a better look. An apparatus for installing a shelf includes: a vertical frame(20) with a fixing groove(22); a height-adjustable supporting frame(30) for the shelf; a fixing piece(50) for connecting the supporting frame(30) to the vertical frame(20). The supporting frame(30) being combined with a fixing end(36) has a seating unit(32) and a supporting unit(34). The fixing end(36) can be disposed horizontally and vertically. The supporting frame(30) covers the fixing piece(50) and has a cover/pushing unit for preventing any movement of the shelf. The interim area of a cover(60) cuts open except for some areas of both ends to form a pushing unit(63).
