HINGE APPARATUS FOR PORTABLE TERMINAL

A hinge device of a mobile terminal is provided to contribute to diversification of mobile terminal designs such that when a mobile terminal is used as a communication device, the terminal maintains a bar type, while when the terminal is in a broadcast view mode, its one housing is supported on a bottom surface and a housing with a display unit is disposed slantingly on the bottom surface. The first hinge base(201) is combined at one side of one end portion of the first housing. The second hinge base(202) is combined at one side of one end portion of the second housing and rotated in a state of facing the first hinge base(201). An elastic member(202) presses the first hinge base(201) and the second hinge base(202) in a direction that they are tightly attached. The first rotary cylinder(211) extends from the first hinge base(201). The second rotary cylinder(225) extends from the second hinge base(202). The second rotary cylinder(225) penetrates the first rotary cylinder(211) and can rotates therein. A rotary recess(221) is formed on one surface of the second hinge base(202) and covers one end of the second rotary cylinder(225). One end of the first rotary cylinder(211) slidably contacts with a bottom surface of the rotary recess(221).
