CIRCUIT FOR DETECTING OVP OF LED DRIVER FOR LCD PANEL

A circuit for detecting an OVP in an LED driver for an LCD device is provided to stabilize an internal circuit by preventing a converter having an overvoltage protecting circuit from being damaged an overvoltage. A circuit for detecting an OVP(OverVoltage Protection) in an LED(Light Emitting Diode) driver for an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) device includes plural converter blocks and a microcomputer. The converter blocks having plural converters output a corresponding signal when the OVP is operated. The microcomputer controls a shut down operation of the LED driver according to the corresponding signal. Each converter of the converter blocks includes first and second resistors(R1,R'), and a capacitor(C1). The first resistor is formed between an input stage and a gate terminal of an FET(Field Effect Transistor). The second resistor and capacitor are formed in parallel between the first resistor and a gate terminal of the FET.
