An apparatus for manufacturing a box having an open upper surface is provided to maximize the process productivity of the box by automatically transferring a box plate and the box. An apparatus for manufacturing a box having an open upper surface comprises a bending-pressing part for repeatedly lifting a hexahedral mold by means of a driving member, a box plate-mounting part and four bending-taping parts(3), which are formed at front/rear sides of a lower part of the box plate-mounting part while diagonally facing each other. The box plate-mounting part is provided at a lower portion of the mold and has a horizontal part on which a box plate(10) is placed. The four bending-taping part surrounds a joint between circumference plates(101) of the box plate while bending the circumference plate.
