A system and a method for providing an online game service in real-time are provided to offer an online game to a user without lag and increase the number of concurrent users by separating a game traffic from various traffics received from a user terminal through the Internet, converting the game traffic into a single stream, and periodically multiplexing/transmitting the single stream to a game server. A separator separates the game traffic, which is asynchronous data, from the various traffics received from the user terminal through the Internet by using game traffic setting information. A switch controller updates the game traffic information of the separator. A packet synchronizer converts the game traffic into the single stream, and periodically multiplexes/transmits the single stream to the game server at intervals set to a packet synchronization clock. A game processor processes the game traffic received from the packet synchronizer. A backend game processor supports ranking, billing, and hacking monitoring of the online game. The game processor communicates with the backend game processor through the VPN(Virtual Private Network).
