FIELD: analytical methods. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for use in laboratories performing analytical control of production processes involving use nitroxyl group. Method is accomplished by treating sample in organic solvent with potassium of sodium iodide solution and concentrated acetic acid followed by titration of liberated iodine with sodium thiosulfate. For sample, no more than 10 cm3 of organic solvent is used, which solvent is selected from alkanes, cycloalkanes, aromatic hydrocarbons, saturated aliphatic alcohols, and chlorinated alkanes. Iodide solution is used in concentration 2 mole/L so that molar ratio nitroxyl group/potassium or sodium iodide/concentrated acetic acid were (0.02-0.10):1:(40-45). Molar concentration of nitroxyl group equivalent is assumed to be arithmetic average on minimum and maximum concentration values of nitroxyl group equivalent within expected concentration range. ^ EFFECT: increased selectivity and reliability of determination. ^ 2 tbl, 5 ex |
