POROUS CERAMICS AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THEREOF

This invention pertains to the field of composition and method for producing porous ceramic materials. Reaction between metallic aluminium and water in neutral medium in the presence of catalyst for direct obtaining porous structure is used. Illite- as well as kaolinite-type raw materials together with fillers and catalytic additives in order to obtain porous ceramic materials may be used. The obtained ceramic material after firing has porosity from 60 to 90 %, and compressive strength from 3 to 10 MPa.
