<p>#CMT# #/CMT# The device has a rear sliding frame (5) situated at the rear of a commercial vehicle and mounted slidingly with respect to a chassis (1) of the vehicle. A pneumatic cylinder (10) permits to actuate the frame to an active position in which the frame is projected with respect to the rear of the vehicle. Springs (12) permit to actuate the frame to a retracted position in which the frame is not projected with respect to the rear of the vehicle. The frame is slid in the retracted position so that the frame is spaced from an obstacle when the obstacle is detected. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Used for protecting a rear part of a chassis of a commercial vehicle (claimed). #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The frame is slid to the retracted position so that the frame is spaced from the obstacle when the obstacle is detected, thus permitting the vehicle to react to the loading and unloading actions without premature wear of a rear chafing block. The configuration of the device permits to avoid the constraints of the part of the vehicle against a building of the obstacle, thus ensuring the movement of the vehicle with respect to the building without the degradation of its nature.
