A light emitting diode lamp device and a control method thereof are provided to enable a uniform current to flow on the light emitting diode by properly controlling a transistor installed on a light emitting diode driving unit. A light emitting diode lamp device includes a power supply unit(110), a control unit(120), a light emitting diode driving unit(130) and a cooling fan motor driving unit(140). The power supply unit(110) converts an AC power into a DC power. The control unit(120) receives the DC power from the power supply unit(110), and monitors a voltage provided to a light emitting diode. The control unit(120) receives a feedback signal from a cooling fan motor, provides a constant current to the light emitting diode, and enables the cooling fan motor to rotate at uniform speed. The light emitting diode driving unit(130) supplies the constant current to the light emitting diode by an output signal of the control unit(120). The cooling fan motor driving unit(140) supplies a constant speed control signal to the cooling fan motor by the output signal of the control unit(120).
