A control valve for adjusting the pressure of a ship engine is provided to maintain the state of an engine through automatic pressure control effectively and to deal with various output pressure. A valve body(10) is formed such that over pressure is controlled generated in a ship engine. A piston operating through fluid pressure and the operation of a cylinder(12) is provided in the valve body. A piston controls over pressure while maintaining target pressure. The piston is operated if the over pressure exceeds the target pressure set in a kind screw. The kind screw adjusts the tensile force of a spring to set the target pressure. A slide valve generates a force exceeding the tensile force of the spring to lift the piston when the over pressure is generated, so that the space between a valve tip and a valve sheet is generated. Pressure is lowered due to the space so that the piston is operated while maintaining the target pressure.
