A metallocene catalyst absorbed into carbon nanotube is provided to be used for preparing a polymer compound having a very high molecular weight in accordance with the polymerization condition using an aluminoxane compound and an organoaluminum compound as a co-catalyst. A metallocene catalyst adsorbed into carbon nanotube is represented by the formula(1), wherein CNT is at least one carbon nanotube selected from the group consisting of a single-walled carbon nanotube, a double-walled carbon nanotube and a multi-walled carbon nanotube, Cp1 is a ligand having a cyclopentadienyl skeleton which is unsubstituted or substituted by at least one substituent selected from the group consisting of C1-20 alkyl, C3-20 cycloalkyl, C1-20 alkylsily, C1-20 haloalkyl, C6-20 aryl, C6-20 arylalkyl, C6-20 arylsilyl, C6-20 alkylaryl, C1-20 alkoxy, C1-20 alkylsiloxy, C6-20 aryloxy, halogen and amino, provided that a cyclic compound may be formed by binding between the substituents when the ligand is substituted by at least two substituents, M is an element of group III to X in a periodic table, each X, Y and Z is independently one kind selected from the group consisting of C1-20 alkyl, C3-20 cycloalkyl, C1-20 alkylsily, C1-20 haloalkyl, C6-20 aryl, C6-20 arylalkyl, C6-20 arylsilyl, C6-20 alkylaryl, C1-20 alkoxy, C1-20 alkylsiloxy, C6-20 aryloxyl, halogen, amino, tetrahydroborate and the Cp1, provided that the CNT and Cp1 are linked by absorption. A method for polymerizing olefin comprises the steps of: (a) dissolving a metallocene main catalyst absorbed into carbon nanotube and a co-catalyst thereof in a solvent; and (b) injecting olefin gas into the reaction solution obtained from the step (a) and subjecting it under a polymerization reaction under a temperature of -50-200 deg.C and a pressure of 1.0-3,000.
